painted wires

10 songs · 39:57

Painted Wires brings together ten stories about the connections we make, lose, imagine and sometimes choose to leave unresolved. Moving through late-’60s British rock, folk, soul-inflected grooves and quieter acoustic spaces, the album shifts between ordinary detail and moments of strangeness: roads without destinations, conversations with the sea, half-empty rooms, falling stars and lives briefly crossing. At its centre is a simple question: how much of what connects us has to be tangible to be real?

New single · out now

sea, oh sea

25 September 2026

An acoustic-led folk ballad carried by strummed and slide guitar, kick drum, bass, handclaps, tambourine and accordion. Martha Bloom’s lead vocal and layered harmonies frame the sea as both a road toward possibility and a place to leave behind what can no longer be carried.

roll on

31 July 2026

A warm, open-road song driven by a bright cyclical guitar riff and a prominent bass line. Hammond textures, brass and layered voices bring touches of soul and R&B to a story about leaving routine behind — with half a tank, a paper map and no fixed destination.

under the hiss

10 April 2026

A collection of songs about hidden dreams, strange mornings, memory, closeness and the private ways people try to remain themselves. Funky rock grooves, sixties-coloured harmonies, intimate lo-fi moments and soft sing-along choruses pass through the same warm grain of imperfection.

Single

not for a lover

14 February 2026

A compact, guitar-led single shaped by restraint and emotional distance. Its direct melodic pull is held inside the warm, imperfect grain that would later define Under the Hiss.

Beyond the Sound single artwork

Debut single

beyond the sound

22 January 2026

The first release moves through doubt, inward motion and the feeling of waiting for something just beyond reach. Shimmering guitars and a patient pulse introduced the band’s quiet, analogue world.
